This is a reflection on how applications of physical theories have been given through history and how they have shaped the way of thinking and acting in the vast majority of cultures in the world. This is intended to invite students to realize these influences and to be able to construct an objective point of view as to how these theories have been applied, and whether they have actually contributed to the development of humanity or are only applied to benefit of a few. The great wealth of knowledge of science lends itself to make it a tool of domination and power, this is seen today in the development of science in industrialized countries and in the mistakes that were made in the past by allowing the application indiscriminate knowledge, we must also take into account the positive contributions of this knowledge for students to see the importance it has.
