The static approximation, ∇×H=0, for the normal modes of a nonconducting ferromagnetic sphere can be improved in an iterative fashion by calculating the displacement current generated by the motion of the “static” fields and using this current as the source of vorticity in the next higher approximation to the actual field. This procedure has been carried out to (kR0)2 for the “uniform” mode of ferromagnetic resonance.
