In this paper we reflect about teaching of didactics of physics and it’s meaning in education of teachers, as a strategy to improve their professional performance as a physics teacher. Elements such as the understanding of the mathematization of natural phenomena, methodologies for the development of scientific thought and the teaching of physics from the Science, Technology and Society approach, will be considered.
