Micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Colombia, as in most countries, are the engine of the economy. Generate more than 50% of national employment, mean 36% of industrial value added, 92% commercial establishments and 40% of total production in the country, demonstrating its importance and great potential for growth (by comparing its share of GDP and the number of establishments).
