Este trabajo tiene como objetivo describir algunos aspectos caracteristicos de la estructura y de la regulacion del Sistema de Salud colombiano, en particular aquellos relativos al Regimen Contributivo, con el fin de identificar, desde la teoria economica, las fallas de mercado que se presentan en la provision de los servicios de salud. Abstract: This paper aims to describe some characteristic aspects of the structure and regulation of the Colombian Health System, in particular those related to the contributive regime, in order to identify, from economic theory, market failures that arise in the provision health services.
