Munidopsis cubensis is reported for the first time for the Southern Caribbean Sea, Colombia. The specimen was collected in November 2009, using a trawl, offshore of Punta Canoa (Bolívar) at a depth of 776 m. We present the species diagnostic characters, as well as its distribution and bathymetric and geographic information. This record increases to 24 the number of known species of Munidopsis in Colombia.
