The double outlet of the right ventricle (DORV) has a complex hemodynamic intracardiac component, which are associated with the characteristic that both great arteries are connected with the right ventricle. The aim of this study was to describe the anatomic intracardiac variables related with the prognosis of fetuses with prenatal diagnosis of DORV. Anatomic relation of the great arteries Hypoplastic or compromise of the ventricles Hypoplastic or compromise of the arteries. The ubication of the VSD We reviewed the postnatal echocardiogram, the pathological specimens and the surgery with following the postnatal outcome. Thirty-five cases were diagnosed with DORV. Postnatal assessment was not obtained in 3 cases. The pregnancy was terminated in 3 cases. In five cases we determinate a severe hypoplastic of the aorta and 6 cases with hypoplasia of the pulmonary artery. In 4 cases were HLV. 10 cases with confirmed DORV survived beyond the neonatal period. The principal determinant in the bad outcome was the HLV and the hypoplasia of the pulmonary or aorta. Overall survival rate was 30.6%. The prenatal diagnosis of the DORV requires analyze the anatomical variables not only in the relations of the great arteries must include the VSD, the hypoplasia of the one of the outlet tracts and the compromise of the ventricles.
