This paper summarizes the results obtained during the design of a 16-bit RISC microprocessor using the Alliance CAD System tool. The purpose of this research pointed out to validate the capacities of the tool to obtain the set of fabrication masks from a set of descriptions given in subset of the hardware description language VHDL.
