This paper presents theoretical joints underlying a study on the literary criticism developed in press. There is a theoretical discussion from authors such as Terry Eagleton, Jurgen Habermas, Albert Chillon and others that have developed an approach on the subject. Also seeks to place the discussion in the context of which appeared in the Semanario Pintoresco Espanol, critique.
