Colombia, like most Latin American countries have had major political and social transformation, characteristics of the modernization process: the emergence of new political forms and social development of the media, transformation of the state and modification of social values and cultural. It presents a historical account of the impact it has had public health from the Constitution of 1886 until now, with its funding and the vision and importance that have given both the State and health authorities.
