The project University, Art and Territory has its origin in the photographic archives, gathered by the author during 15 years, and which deal with the architectural evolution of Paris 8 University. Associated to a team of investigators, he developed a transdisciplinary approach to analyze the role of cultural entities as generators of local territorial transformations. The meeting of these scientists resulted in the formulation of criteria to create international laboratories to observe the territory and analyze the forces within globalization that condition these transformations. New notions to define the criteria of contemporary cities under new globalization paradigms are inferred from these findings. Simultaneously, the documenting and representing processes build, through their double scientific and aesthetic specificity, a knowledge and a poetry that is sensitive to the construction processes of the university’s history
