Resumen: La comunicacion con este titulo, examina el tema de la empresarialidad y su papel en el crecimiento industrial y de las competencias entendidas como habilidades y destrezas para emprender proyectos empresariales (capital humano) incidiendo sobre el crecimiento economico y la generacion de empleo. El objetivo del trabajo es determinar el impacto de la empresarialidad sobre el crecimiento industrial y el empleo de la ciudad de Barranquilla. Para tal efecto se plantea un estudio correlacional, de corte longitudinal aplicando procesos estadisticos y econometricos. Entre las principales resultados estan, que desde el punto de vista del desarrollo regional la inclusion de la empresarialidad como determinante es clave para el crecimiento industrial, y la generacion de empleo es clave en la creacion de empresas. En el modelo se presentan tasas promedio de crecimiento positivas revestidas de una gran volatilidad en el corto plazo. Abstract: The communication with this title, examines the theme of the entrepreneurialism and its role in the industrial for the use of the competences understood as abilities and dexterities to undertake business projects (capital human) impacting on the economic growth and the generation of employment. The objective of the work is to determine the impact of the entrepreneurialism on the industrial growth and the employment of the city of Barranquilla. For such effect a study be planted correlational, of longitudinal cut applying econometric and statistical processes. Among the main results they are, that since the point of view of the regional development the inclusion of the entrepreneurialism, like determinant is key for the industrial growth and the generation of employment is key in the creation of businesses.
