The superficial modification through Electroless Plating (EP) of β-SiC particles obtained by thermal degradation from organic wastes, as proposed by Valencia et-al. is reported. Sensibilization and activation of particles were carried out in SnCl2 and PdCl2 solutions, respectively. Later, the particles were immersed in a CuSO4 . 5H2O solution were copper depositation was verified. Finally, morphological characterization of the composites by optical and electronic microscopy show uniform zones and a constant Cu layer.
