Resumen La propuesta de este ensayo es interpretar la forma como se desenvuelve la educacion en la Corporacion Universitaria Americana, donde se espera que los futuros profesionales actuen con responsabilidad social, estrategia que considero indispensable tanto para el incremento del capital social como del desarrollo sostenible donde finalmente se lograra una disminucion en los altos indices de pobreza actuales. Acelerar el crecimiento y el desarrollo social, en concreto, se logra desarrollando acciones e interactuando en y con los grupos, y nos referimos al capital social donde las redes sociales, las organizaciones, los valores compartidos y la capacidad de actuar sinergicamente constituye el escenario donde se encuentra la Corporacion Universitaria Americana donde lo mas importante del proceso es que se aprenda a actuar en forma socialmente responsable y etica, esto es cuando se instituyen un conjunto de practicas obligatorias y voluntarias orientadas a promover la satisfaccion de las necesidades sociales de sus integrantes y las de los miembros de su comunidad. The proposal of this essay is to interpret the way in which the education at the American Universitarian Corporation is unfolding, where it is expected that the future professionals perform with social responsibility; strategy that I consider indispensable as much to the increment of the social capital as to the sustainable development where finally will be attain a reduction in the high indexes of present poverty. To acelerate the growth and the social development, in concrete, is attain developing actions and interacting, in and with the groups, and we are refering to the social capital where the social networks, the organizations, the shared values, and the capacity to act synergically constitutes the stage where is find the American Universitarian Corporation. Where the most important part of the process is learning to act in responsible, ethical, and social ways, this is when it is instituted a set of mandatory and voluntary practices oriented to promote the satisfaction of the social needs of theirs members, and the ones of the members of the comunity.
