The first phase of the research The architectural projectation as research process: cognitive processes and mediations has concentrated on the investigation of the cognitive processes that the subjects elaborate during the development of a project projectation. Such investigation has been done through a task of architectural design where the strategy of protocol analysis (verbal and graphic) was applied. This article reports on the results of a case study which shows the complexity of the projectation task and the logic and aesthetic categories that the processes involve. K
