An 19 year old man with amebic liver abscess superinfected with Bacillus anthracis is presented. This unusual association was not found in the literature. Diagnosis was made by the clinical picture of fever, pain in the right hipochondrium and hepatomegaly with a mass. It was confirmed by echography positive Entameba histolytica, antibodies and isolation of the microorganism from the abscess pus. Metronidazole, emetine and antibiotics were used for treatment.
