The book aims to present the theoretical and methodological aspects in the treatment of patients with traumatic brain injury (tbi) after-effects. While intervention strategies have been developed internationally to reduce post-tbi cognitive deficits, studies are needed in Colombia that contribute, from neuroscience, to the quality of life of individuals who have suffered a tbi. Epidemiological studies conducted in various countries confirm the seriousness of this problem, thus evidencing the need to create rehabilitation strategies to deal with the multiple after-effects of tbi individuals. It should be noted that the most affected population is young people who are at their productive stage and cannot resume their lives due to physical, cognitive, social, and emotional difficulties. The research that led to this book was funded by the Universidad Surcolombiana, through the research project "Design and testing of the efficacy of a rehabilitation program for cognitive and behavioral functions in patients with brain damage (head trauma and cerebrovascular disease ), Neiva 2008 "(Minciencias, young researchers program), and by the Cooperative University of Colombia, through hourly downloads for written consolidation of the document.
