This paper offers a description of the use of impersonal constructions with uno, se and the 2Sg and 3Pl markers in the spoken Spanish of Medellín, Colombia. 447 impersonal constructions are analysed from seven semi-structured interviews with speakers that belong to different age, gender and educational groups from the PRESEEA-Medellín Corpus. The results reveal that the speakers of Medellín tend to be homogeneous with regard to their use of impersonalisation strategies (preferred forms, functions, interpretation and restrictions), and that their uses coincide with those uses and restrictions reported in previous studies on general Spanish.
